Col Patterson /The Vinylheads –
"The Vinylheads" is the pop/rock music project of Irishman Col Patterson.
Col is influenced by Paul Weller, The Kinks, The Killers, The Doors, The Stranglers, Elbow among others.
The Vinylheads was originally Col supported by his Irish cousins-With their help, an Album,"Kicks" was produced-Martin Quinn from Jam studios in Kells, Ireland helped magic up the sounds, to much critical acclaim and boosting of egos.
In December 2014, the title track, “Kicks” was chosen by BBC 6music's Legend Tom Robinson as his Recommends “Pick of the Week”.
The Album has also received great support from John Creedon on Rte Radio 1 as well as local and national stations in Ireland and the U.K.
The Vinylheads gigs were rare as a musical Hen's tooth, but they did play the Fortstock festival in Co Monaghan June 2014.
Col's new Solo project in 2017 will see the release of a new Album- "Hangover Moon"- Produced by Martin Quinn once again.
